Service dog and handler team working together outdoors

Indigo Canines

The New Purpose Program

Fully trained service dogs that give carefully selected dogs from our community a new purpose, while making life-changing service dog partnerships more accessible to the people who need them.

A different kind of service dog program

Traditional service dog programs serve an incredibly important purpose, but their eligibility requirements can leave gaps for people whose needs don’t fit within their programs. The New Purpose Program was created to help fill those gaps, offering a more flexible and individualized path to a service dog.

Every dog in the program is sourced from a shelter or community surrender; the dogs that would otherwise be overlooked. We evaluate them for temperament, drive, and trainability, then custom task-train each one to the specific needs of their future handler.

You work directly with Lynn throughout the entire process. No cookie-cutter programs. Just a dog trained for your life.
